Mathea is travelling in Maine at the moment, she and Melissa are visiting with Grandma Brenda this week and next. She got to decorate her own birthday cake for an early birthday celebration in Maine.

We went to Natural Bridge in Kentucky for a hike. The day was gorgeous.

Today was a busy day. Last night, Mathea helped Dad sharpen the lawnmower by painting the honing compound on the blades, and helped with the mowing yesterday and today. This morning, Daddy made a grass ring for Mathea. This afternoon, Dan and Sharon came by so Sharon and Mommy could go to a Pampered Chef party, then Annika and Mathea went to Play Park. Just all sorts of fun!

Mathea helped wash the cars today, and we came up with a special swing for her stuffed animal friends.

We had a really great dessert today - a pumpkin mousse with a few chocolate chips sprinkled on it.

Mathea received several Easter cards. The one from Nana and Papa was slightly modified after it was received.

Dan and Sharon's church held an Easter Egg hunt the day before Easter. They were kind enough to invite us down. We had a great time.

The batteries in Mathea's little electronic keyboard (piano) went dead today. Changing them is a matter of using a screwdriver to open the battery case, and swapping out the batteries. Of course, it's never that simple...

We had a little snow last night (well, a lot for around here) and we needed to go out and play in it, of course! Afterwards, we all went to the Olive Garden for lunch to celebrate Melissa's birthday, then on to Dan and Sharon's for a play date with Annika.

We went down to Florida for an all-too-short visit with Don and Julie. It was short, but fun. Mathea had some stomach problems during the trip, but did very well despite that and had a great visit. She got to ride on a train, play in the pool, and of course a number of trips to the local playground.

OK, for those of you who get REAL amounts of snow, this isn't much. But it is one of the two "storms" we've had this year, so of course Mathea has to be out playing in it. It IS snow, after all.

Mathea traded a cookie for this visit. She wanted to go to Play Park, but refused to take a nap, so we decided not to go. Then, on a visit to Wal Mart (where she usually gets a cookie), she agreed to "trade in" the cookie for a trip to Play Park.

Dan and Sharon, a couple of friends, invited us to their house for a superbowl party. We had a great time, and it was a good opportunity for Mathea to play with Annika.
