A play at the Pajama Party31 viewsThe Portland Children's Museum held a Pajama Party on Saturday the 30th. The kids all made up hats and other decorations, and at noon there was a big balloon drop to celebrate the new year (36 hours early).
In the play area at the pajama party, they had a little stage and costumes for the kids to play with. Many of the kids dressed up.

Snowshoeing28 viewsOur plan was to go to Papa Chugger and Grandma Brenda's house for the weekend. Unfortunately, the roads were not in good enough shape, so we had to stay home. We decided to take advantage of the snow, at least.
The snowshoes worked well. Mathea bored of them, but that was only because the tree out on the trail was there, and the snow wasn't really deep enough for snowshoes anyway.

FAST slide29 viewsSomething about very cold weather, a plastic slide, slippery snow gear, and a soft pile of snow to land in makes for fast, and fun, sledding. Mathea is actually in the air in this photo.

The Bridge with Grandma Brenda and Papa Chugger36 viewsSince we didn't get to go up and spend the weekend as planned, we met in Belfast for lunch, then walked across the bridge. It was a cold, windy day. Perfect for seeing how much snow could be thrown off the bridge at once.
